Cintra is a proud, strategically vital kingdom and grand capital city situated on the southern banks of the Yaruga River. Historically ruled by Queen Calanthe, the “Lioness of Cintra,” the city is characterized by its massive white stone battlements, grand royal keeps, and fierce knightly traditions. Cintra met a tragic, defining end during the first Northern War, when it was brutally sacked and burned by the invading Nilfgaardian Empire, an apocalyptic event that forced Ciri into exile.
