Cahir is a Nilfgaardian nobleman and knight, and one of the saga’s more unusual figures: an enemy soldier who becomes, almost against his will, part of Geralt’s circle. He is proud, stubborn and unable to shake a sense of duty, which the story keeps testing.

He is best known for his role in Ciri’s story. First he appears as a knight from the Empire tied to the hunt for the girl, and later he is one of the unlikely companions who travel with Geralt and Dandelion in Baptism of Fire. In that company, made up of people who should not have stayed together, Cahir slowly earns a place through loyalty rather than words.
