Nenneke is the high priestess of the temple of Melitele, the goddess of fertility and harvest, in Ellander. She is warm, direct and impossible to impress, with a sharp tongue that she uses on everyone, including Geralt. He returns to her temple whenever he needs rest, medical care or plain honesty, and she gives him all three.

She is also a longtime friend of Yennefer and one of the few people who can say hard things to either of them. In Blood of Elves, Ciri spends time at the temple under her care, a quieter stretch in the girl’s difficult childhood. Nenneke also appears in the first Witcher game, where she offers Geralt guidance and help.
