Contract: Here Comes the Groom is a witcher contract on the island of Spikeroog in Skellige. In the village of Clan Brokvar, a man named Kevan offers a bounty for finding a missing groom. The village thinks the young man simply got cold feet and ran from his wedding, but his bride, Britt, insists he was snatched by a monster.
Geralt follows the clues to a cave south of an old watchtower, full of drowners and unusual tracks. Inside, he learns that Britt was right: the culprit is an ekhidna, a vampiric winged hybrid that has been preying on anyone who comes too close. The fight is tough, because ekhidnae heal by draining their victims, so Hybrid oil and aggressive attacks help.
What Geralt finds in the cave is not good news for the bride, and the ending is quietly sad. It is one of those Skellige contracts where the monster is the easy part, and the hard part is telling someone what happened.
