Contract: Missing Son is a witcher contract on Ard Skellig. A man named Odhen of Rannvaig is desperate for news about his missing son and has posted a notice in the village below Kaer Trolde. Geralt can also meet him directly in Rannvaig. Hearing a father’s despair, and feeling how light his own purse is, Geralt agrees to help.
The trail leads to the ruins of Kaer Nyssen and to a fiend called Morvudd, a huge, antlered relict that hypnotises its prey with a glowing third eye and tramples anything that gets close. Fiends are among the most powerful monsters in Skellige, and Morvudd is no exception.
Relict oil, the Quen sign and dodging its charges are the keys to survival, and Devil’s Puffball or Samum bombs help too. What Geralt finds about Odhen’s son is not good news, but at least the father gets an answer, and Geralt gets the steel sword Longclaw for his trouble.
