Missing in Action is a secondary quest in White Orchard. Geralt is not the only one looking for a lost loved one. A peasant has posted a notice about his brother, who left home to fight against Nilfgaard. The armies of the North and the “Black Ones” clashed in a great battle near the brothers’ village, and the peasant has heard nothing since.
Geralt heads to the old battlefield, now picked over by ghouls, and searches among the fallen with his witcher senses. What he finds tells the story of the brother’s last moments, and it is not a happy one. The quest is short, but it adds weight to the ruined landscape of White Orchard, where the war has left scars on every family.
