Overview
Empty Coop is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set at a small hut just east of Honeyfill Meadworks, between the meadworks and the Dancing Windmill outside Novigrad.
A strange thief
An old woman named Yanina says her chickens keep going missing, one at a time. She is sure it is a monster: she has found wolf tracks near the coop, and whatever made them seems to walk on its hind legs.
By the stone wall, Geralt finds the wolf prints. As he follows them, small human footprints appear beside them and the tracks keep changing. Across the stream he finds the thieves: three young orphans camping out. They have been stealing chickens to survive, and tying wolf paws that belonged to their father to their feet to fake the tracks.
The ending
Geralt tells Yanina the truth. He can warn her that the children will keep coming back, or persuade her to take them in. If she takes them, you can later find the children living with her, keeping her company and helping with chores. It is one of the warmer endings in the game.
