Overview
A Surprise Inheritance is a treasure hunt in Hearts of Stone, set at the abandoned site of Stacheier in the lands added with the expansion, northeast of Novigrad.
What happens
By the ballista on the hill lies a body with Knut Kreutzman’s journal and a key. Reading the journal starts the quest. The treasure lies east, the way the ballista is pointing, in ruins where an archgriffin has built its nest. After the fight, a hatch in the floor of the ruins leads to the chest. A letter to a brother-in-law can also be found in the griffin’s nest on top.
