Fergus Graem is a dwarven armorer who works at Crow’s Perch in Velen. Everyone thinks he is the best armorer in the area, but the real master is his assistant, Yoana. Knowing few would believe a human woman could outdo a dwarf at the forge, the two agreed she would pose as his helper. It might have worked, if Fergus did not keep brushing off her advice in front of customers.
In The Witcher 3
Geralt can use Fergus’s services as an armorer at Crow’s Perch. In Master Armorers, the local Nilfgaardian commander orders armor that can stop a crossbow bolt. Fergus says it cannot be done, and Yoana says it can, with the right tools. If Geralt helps Yoana, her armor holds and Fergus’s does not. She is made head armorer, and the humbled dwarf stays on as her apprentice. If she cannot prove herself, she is branded a fraud and leaves, and Fergus is left with the orders.
The Pellar also seeks Geralt out near Fergus’s forge in Forefathers’ Eve.
