Hjort is a druid who has served Clan Brokvar of Spikeroog as a trusted advisor since the days of Jarl Agnar, grandfather of the current jarl, Udalryk. Crach an Craite considers him the only reasonable man in the whole clan.
In The Witcher 3
When Geralt arrives in Svorlag during Possession, he finds Hjort listening to Udalryk describe his strange dreams. Asked about Cerys, Hjort points Geralt toward villagers who knew the jarl as a boy and to his abandoned family home. Asked about Udalryk’s health, he is interrupted by the jarl screaming and hurries off to his side. Hjort also appears in King’s Gambit.
