A Final Kindness

A Final Kindness is a short and tragic main quest in Novigrad that only appears if Keira Metz’s storyline ended a certain way. With the notes on the plague she took from the Tower of Mice, Keira went to King Radovid, hoping to trade a possible weapon for a royal pardon. She forgot the most important rule: never make a deal with a devil, especially one with an army and a burning hatred of sorceresses.

Radovid laughed at her offer, had her arrested and put her to death in the most gruesome way on Hierarch Square. Her curses against him and his kingdom were heard all over the city. When Geralt returns to Novigrad, Triss asks him to help recover Keira’s body so she can be given the dignity she was denied in death.

It is a small quest with no fights, but it lands hard, and it is a reminder that the choices Geralt makes for his friends can have consequences he is not there to see.

Walkthrough

  1. Talk to Triss in Novigrad about what happened to Keira.
  2. Go to Hierarch Square and recover Keira’s body.
  3. Help Triss give Keira a proper farewell.

Quest Consequences & Choices

This quest only happens if Keira went to Radovid at the end of For the Advancement of Learning. In that case she cannot help at Kaer Morhen.
