Last Rites is a secondary quest in Blackbough, Velen. An old woman, like so many widows in Velen, has seen more hardship than most, but hers comes with a ghost. The spirit of her husband, who died in the war years ago, has asked her to bring her wedding ring to his grave. The cemetery is too far away for her to travel, so she asks Geralt to make the trip.

Geralt takes the ring to the grave, where ghouls may be waiting among the dead. When he gets there, the story takes a small but meaningful twist that makes the quest more than a simple errand. It is short and sad, and it captures the way the war still hangs over every home in Velen.
