Contract: Skellige’s Most Wanted is one of the funniest witcher contracts in The Witcher 3. In Fyresdal, a merchant insists that a witcher must investigate a monster that attacked him and his cart. Geralt follows the trail, and as so often it ends in a cave.
This cave is different, though. Inside are crude drawings showing a carefully planned attempt on Geralt’s life. The local monsters, it seems, have heard that a witcher is coming, and they have organised. From the last drawing, Geralt works out where his would-be assassins are meeting, and he decides to attend the meeting himself.
What follows is a big fight against a strange coalition of monsters, from nekkers and endregas to venomous arachasae and a werewolf, all in the name of getting rid of the witcher before he gets rid of them. Geralt can threaten the monsters or simply fight them all. The contract is a great example of the game’s sense of humour, and of how even monsters talk about witchers.
