A Mysterious Passenger is a short main quest in Skellige that connects Ciri’s trail across the regions. The Wild Hunt chased Ciri and her companion to the coast of Skellige, where they got into a boat and sailed away. Some time later, the same boat came back with only one passenger: a twisted little creature that, if it is a man at all, may well be the ugliest in the world.

The creature ended up in the care of Jarl Donar an Hindar of Hindarsfjall, so that is where Geralt goes next. Donar is happy to talk about it, but he no longer has it. He sold the misshapen thing to a passing merchant, who shipped it off to Novigrad. There, the trail runs cold for now.

Players who have finished the Bloody Baron’s storyline may already recognise the creature. It is Uma, the bizarre little being who burst into the Baron’s office at the end of Family Matters, and he turns out to be far more important than anyone in Velen realised.
