Abandoned Sawmill

Overview

Abandoned Sawmill is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that starts the first time Geralt visits the Abandoned Sawmill on Ard Skellig, in the Skellige Isles.

What happens

To finish the quest you only need to examine the human bones in the open shed, the third building from the right. The clues tell the story, though:

  • In the far left building, which Aard opens, a chest holds a letter from a druid.
  • The far right hut has a lumberjack’s letter to his wife.
  • The hut between the letter and the bones holds the sawmill owner’s notes.

Once Geralt examines the bones, a leshen appears at one end of the sawmill. Kill it to complete the quest.
