The Painted World is an otherworldly place inside a painting by Iris von Everec. While Iris was alive it existed only in her mind, a blur of memories she wished to forget. After her death it took on substance, and her fears grew far out of proportion to the memories they came from.

In Hearts of Stone, Geralt enters the Painted World during Scenes From a Marriage to find the violet rose that was Olgierd‘s last gift to Iris.
