The only woman in Vernon Roche’s Blue Stripes, a fierce Temerian soldier who fights on against Nilfgaard.

Ves is a soldier of the Blue Stripes, the Temerian special forces unit led by Vernon Roche, and the only woman in its ranks. Her past is a hard one. At sixteen, her village was destroyed by a Scoia’tael commando, and its leader took her prisoner and held her for years. Roche and his men freed her, saw what she was capable of and talked her into joining them.

In The Witcher 2

Ves fights alongside Roche and Geralt through the first chapters of the game and is a familiar face at the Temerian camp.

In The Witcher 3

Ves is still at Roche’s side, now waging a guerrilla war against Nilfgaard in the occupied North. She is harder than her commander. In An Eye for an Eye, she disobeys orders to protect a village that helped them, and then argues for killing a wounded prisoner while Roche wants to spare him. Geralt has the final word. With Roche, she can join the defense of Kaer Morhen in The Battle of Kaer Morhen, and she plays a part in the plot against Radovid in Reason of State.
