Rudolf de Jonkheer runs the bank of the de Jonkheer family, one of Novigrad‘s oldest, whose roots go back to the founding of the city.
In The Witcher 3
Rudolf buys a house near the fish market and spends one very unpleasant night in it: giggling, furniture moving in the attic and something nasty left in the parlor. Having paid a small fortune, he hires the oneiromancer Corinne Tilly to dream up the house’s history, and then lets Geralt in when the witcher comes looking for her in Haunted House.
The “ghost” is the godling Sarah. If Geralt tells Rudolf the haunting cannot be stopped, the disappointed banker sells the house to Corinne, who moves in with Sarah. If Geralt drives Sarah out, Rudolf still decides he has had enough, sells the place and promises the witcher a share of the commission.
