Trentin is a master blacksmith with a workshop in the middle of Hauteville, Beauclair. He is also a passionate gwent player, a habit he keeps well hidden from his wife, who would not approve.

In Till Death Do You Part, the ghost of the gambler Louis de Corentin tells Geralt that he once won a sword off Trentin at gwent and never collected it. After a little “persuasion”, and the threat of his wife hearing about it, Trentin hands over the sword Forged in Fire and asks for a rematch. This is the only chance to play him, and he uses a Scoia’tael deck. He also appears in The Man from Cintra.
