Dun Tynne Castle is an ancient, heavily fortified burh situated in the scenic Blessure Valley of northeastern Toussaint, completely surrounded by imposing high stone walls and a sheer cliffside. Steeped in a bloody and tragic history, the fortress is linked to the historical legend of Waltharius the Burly and the mad Lord Walgerius the Stout, who famously slaughtered his unfaithful wife Hiltgunt and her lover before weeping in despair. In the modern era, the estate is ruled by the reclusive nobleman Roderick, who established elite knight-thugs and Nazair mercenaries to form the lawless Dun Tynne Guard. The keep becomes the absolute focal point during the main quest ‘Capture the Castle’, where Geralt, the Ducal Guard, and the vampires Regis and Dettlaff mount a violent assault to eliminate Syanna’s dangerous syndicate.
