A Feast for Crows

Overview

A Feast for Crows is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set just north of the Rosemary and Thyme in Novigrad. It can be tricky to trigger. It usually appears once you have started Broken Flowers and Suspicious Shakedown and moved on from the inn.

The body by the canal

North of the inn, on a small bridge, Geralt notices a foul smell. Witcher Senses lead to a body beside the canal, and he picks up a key from it. Blood and footprints lead from there to a nearby house.

Cleaver’s dwarves

Inside, three of Cleaver’s henchmen are waiting. One wants to kill Geralt on the spot. Another is more reasonable: their “friend” Derrick had a key they need, and they would rather not upset Cleaver.

  • Give them the key and they pay a small sum and send Geralt on his way.
  • Fight them, then use the key on the chest upstairs for coin, florens and some random armor. One dwarf carries a diagram for a Mahakaman steel sword.

Afterwards, guards can be seen removing the body from the canal.

Walkthrough

  1. Start Broken Flowers and Suspicious Shakedown, then return to the Rosemary and Thyme.
  2. Cross the small bridge north of the inn and follow the smell to the body.
  3. Follow the blood and footprints to the house.
  4. Give the dwarves the key, or fight them and open the chest upstairs.
