Gwent: Playing Innkeeps

Overview

Gwent: Playing Innkeeps is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and one of the quests needed for the Card Collector achievement. It usually starts when Geralt plays the innkeeper at the Inn at the Crossroads in Velen, but there is also a notice in Oxenfurt.

The innkeepers

  • The innkeeper at the Inn at the Crossroads plays Nilfgaard with Emhyr var Emreis: Emperor of Nilfgaard and makes good use of spies and medics. Menno Coehoorn card.
  • Stjepan at The Alchemy in Oxenfurt also plays Nilfgaard, but with Emhyr var Emreis: The White Flame, which cancels your leader ability. Yennefer of Vengerberg card.
  • Olivier at The Kingfisher in Novigrad plays Monsters. Tibor Eggebracht card. If Olivier died in Now or Never, his card is in a small lockbox on a cabinet in the room next to the bar.

Collecting all three cards completes the quest.

Walkthrough

  1. Beat the innkeeper at the Inn at the Crossroads.
  2. Beat Stjepan at The Alchemy in Oxenfurt.
  3. Beat Olivier at The Kingfisher in Novigrad, or find his card in the lockbox if he is dead.
