Liam de Coronata runs the Coronata vineyard on the east side of Plegmund’s Bridge, a family business now in its fourth generation. Across the bridge lies Vermentino, owned by his rival Matilda. Their feud boils over when the Beast of Beauclair kills Count Vladimir Crespi and the great Belgaard Vineyard goes up for sale.
In Blood and Wine
Liam asks Geralt to solve five problems around his estate in Wine Wars: Coronata, part of the Wine Wars questline. How it ends depends on Geralt:
- If Geralt helps only Matilda, Liam stays a small vintner, but at least he avoids ruin.
- If Geralt helps only Liam, he becomes steward of Belgaard and a major wine supplier.
- If both are helped without uncovering the saboteur, they grudgingly share Belgaard.
- If Geralt exposes the real culprit in The Deus in the Machina, the two unite all three vineyards and fall for each other.
