Battle Preparations

Battle Preparations is the umbrella main quest that leads up to the final battle against the Wild Hunt. Thanks to Triss and Yennefer, the Lodge of Sorceresses is back together and has some powerful new members. But defeating Eredin takes more than numbers. The plan is to pull his ship, the Naglfar, into the world and cut off its escape, and for that the sorceresses need a legendary elven artifact: the Sunstone.

The team sets sail from Novigrad for Skellige to finish the last tasks. Geralt has to find the Sunstone in The Sunstone, secure the help of the Nilfgaardian sorceress Fringilla Vigo in Veni Vidi Vigo, and look into Avallac’h’s secrets with Ciri in Child of the Elder Blood. There is also time for a quiet, emotional stop on Hindarsfjall in Skjall’s Grave.

When all of that is done, everything is in place, and the time has come to face the Wild Hunt in On Thin Ice.

Walkthrough

  1. Sail from Novigrad to Skellige with your allies.
  2. Complete The Sunstone.
  3. Complete Veni Vidi Vigo.
  4. Complete Child of the Elder Blood, and optionally Skjall’s Grave.

Quest Consequences & Choices

Choices in Child of the Elder Blood and Skjall’s Grave count towards the ending. The quest leads to On Thin Ice.
