Overview
Races: Crow’s Perch is a racing quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, held at a crossroads west of Crow’s Perch and east of Blackbough in Velen. It starts from the “Horse Races” notice on the Crow’s Perch board. Talk to the race coordinator, Radko, to race.
The racers
- Stuttering Mattko is the easiest and never has obstacles on the course. Beating him wins a racing saddle.
- Iron-Arse Hans usually comes with an obstacle. Beating him wins saddlebags.
- Black Bogdan is usually raced last. Beating him wins horse blinders.
Each win also doubles your wager and adds a bonus in crowns. Each race skips time to 11 pm, and a beaten racer cannot be raced again.
The course
Follow the black line on the minimap through part of Blackbough, round a sharp bend, over a bridge and down a straight to the finish. Missing checkpoints fails the race. Two obstacles can appear, one per race at most: loose barrels after the first bend (time slows down, so steer to the far right), and a log across the road after the bridge (Roach usually finds the gap on the left).
A known bug can hide the quest and Radko after The Isle of Mists. It fixes itself after the final main quest.
