The Price of Honor

Overview

The Price of Honor is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set in Harviken and on the northeastern shore of Faroe in the Skellige Isles. You need the magic lamp from Keira Metz to finish it.

A late wedding party

By the docks in Harviken, Timmon explains that his brothers Mikkel and Ulf sailed to Hindarsfjall to fetch his bride Agda, and the wedding is close. They have not returned. He asks Geralt to look for them while he finishes the preparations.

On the shore

At the far northeastern tip of Faroe, after a couple of sirens, Geralt finds a woman’s body on the beach. The magic lamp reveals two ghosts weeping over her and begging Freya’s forgiveness. A storm wrecked their ship, the bride died in their care and her dowry was lost.

Their footprints lead east to a tree, where the brothers lie dead. Rather than face Timmon with the news, they took their own lives to preserve their honor. One of them carries a key and a letter mentioning the dowry. The chest is in the wreck just off the shore, and it holds a gold diamond necklace.

The news

Geralt returns to Timmon with the terrible news. If he found the dowry, he can hand it over or keep it for himself without consequence.

Walkthrough

  1. Talk to Timmon at the Harviken docks.
  2. Travel to the far northeastern end of Faroe and kill the sirens.
  3. Use the magic lamp on the woman’s body.
  4. Follow the ghosts’ footprints east to the brothers’ bodies and take the key and letter.
  5. Optionally dive to the wreck offshore and open the chest.
  6. Return to Timmon.
