Folan is a warrior of Clan Tuirseach and a skilled archer. He grew up alongside Hjalmar and Cerys an Craite, the children of Jarl Crach.
In The Witcher 3
After King Bran’s death, Hjalmar sets out to kill Myrhyff, the ice giant who has driven the people from Undvik, hoping the deed will win him the crown. Folan joins the expedition. On night watch, he catches Egnar of Faroe stealing the horn Hjalmar uses to drive off sirens and chases the thief across the island, shooting him as he runs. Egnar’s screams wake a band of ice trolls, and Folan ends up in their cauldron, about to become stew.
Geralt finds him there during The Lord of Undvik and gets him out. If Hjalmar survives the expedition, Folan can later join him in defending Kaer Morhen in The Battle of Kaer Morhen.
