Fringilla Vigo is a Nilfgaardian sorceress and a member of the Lodge of Sorceresses. She is also a relative of Anna Henrietta, Duchess of Toussaint. At the Battle of Sodden Hill, fighting for Nilfgaard, she blinded Yennefer, and the two have been rivals ever since.

In the books

In Baptism of Fire, the Nilfgaardian sorceress Assire var Anahid recruits Fringilla into the Lodge. Later, when Geralt and his companions spend a winter in Toussaint, the Lodge sends her to keep the witcher there, away from Ciri. She becomes his lover and gives him an amulet to replace his lost medallion. Geralt stays longer than he should, but Regis sees through her, and in the end the witcher wakes from his dream and rides on.

In The Witcher 3

By 1272, Fringilla is Emhyr’s prisoner, locked away for her part in the Lodge’s schemes. When Yennefer needs every mage she can find for the battle against the Wild Hunt, Geralt swims out to the emperor’s flagship off Undvik in Veni Vidi Vigo to deliver Yennefer’s plea. Emhyr releases her, and Fringilla joins the sorceresses preparing for the final battle in Battle Preparations.
