Oxenfurt is a vibrant academy town situated on a large island delta in the Pontar River, heavily influenced by the Kingdom of Redania. The town centers around its world-renowned university, which has historically produced brilliant scholars, physicians, and artists, though King Radovid’s aggressive military draft has recently forced many faculties to close. Unlike the grim majesty of Novigrad, Oxenfurt boasts lighter stone architecture, bustling taverns frequented by rowdy students, and a heavy presence of Redanian soldiers enforcing strict wartime curfews and river tolls.
