HOW TO USE IT
Preparing for a Fight
- Oil first Every monster belongs to a class, and each class has its own blade oil. Coat the sword you will fight with before the battle starts; it is the easiest damage boost in the game.
- Signs and bombs The finder lists the Signs and bombs each monster is weak to. Yrden and Moon Dust are the classic answer to specters, which otherwise keep slipping out of reach.
- Read the bestiary In the game, a monster’s weaknesses appear in its bestiary entry once you have read about it, so the monster books sold by merchants pay off.
- Contracts Before a witcher contract, look the monster up here, then open its page for the full fight plan.
