HOW IT WORKS
Gear Tiers Explained
- Basic The starting version of each set. Wolf, Cat, Griffin and Bear diagrams are hidden around Velen, Novigrad, Skellige and Kaer Morhen, often in caves, ruins and monster nests.
- Enhanced, Superior and Mastercrafted Each upgrade is crafted from the piece one tier below, so you keep reusing the same item instead of starting over. Mastercrafted pieces need a master craftsman.
- Grandmaster Added in Blood and Wine. The diagrams come from the Grandmaster scavenger hunts in Toussaint, the pieces need a grandmaster craftsman and character level 40, and they unlock the strongest set bonuses.
