Contract: The Apiarian Phantom is a witcher contract on the outskirts of Novigrad. Holofernes Meiersdorf, a halfling who runs the Honeyfill Meadworks, has posted a bounty on a creature he calls the Apiarian Phantom, which has been haunting his beekeeping plantation. Geralt can pick up the contract from the notice or by visiting Honeyfill directly.
The investigation leads from the meadworks to the nearby Dancing Windmill and beyond, and it turns out the phantom is no ordinary ghost. It is a hound of the Wild Hunt that got left behind, a spectral beast from another world wandering the fields near Novigrad.
Hounds of the Wild Hunt breathe ice and surround themselves with frost, so Igni, Dimeritium bombs and Elementa oil are the right tools. On the way, Geralt may also run into drowners and drowned dead. It is a neat little contract that connects the everyday life of Novigrad’s farmers to the big threat hanging over the whole story.
