Overview
Races: Swift as the Western Winds is a horse race in Hearts of Stone that can be done at any time. It starts at the Ofieri camp at Upper Mill, northeast of Novigrad.
The race
Tell the Ofieri merchant what a fine horse he has, and he challenges Geralt to a race. Watch out for a merchant who drops barrels in your path, and dodge them so Roach is not slowed. On the last stretch near the bridge, goats get in the way. The final bridge can make Roach break her gallop, but jumping at it usually avoids that.
The prize is an Ofieri stock saddle, which gives Roach a big boost to stamina. For horse races in the base game, see Races: Crow’s Perch.
