The Family Blade

A Skelliger at Kaer Trolde Harbor wants his stolen family sword back. The thieves' own journals lead Geralt across Ard Skellig.

Overview

The Family Blade is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set on Ard Skellig in the Skellige Isles. It starts from the notice “Contract: Stolen Sword” on the board at Kaer Trolde Harbor. The XP drops after level 22.

Following the thieves

The trail has three stops, each with a band of renegades and a thief’s journal pointing to the next:

  1. The obelisk southwest of Miners’ Camp.
  2. Fort Grymmdjarr, southwest of Fyresdal.
  3. The Whale Graveyard, where the last group carries the stolen sword, Kuliu.

Returning the sword

Back at Kaer Trolde Harbor, Olaf is waiting on the bridge. He is delighted to have his family blade back and pays Geralt for his trouble.
