Viper Steel Sword
The Viper Steel Sword is one of two low-level blades of the Viper School that can be found in White Orchard at the very start of The Witcher 3. It once belonged to Kolgrim, a Viper witcher, and its main bonus is a 15% chance to poison.
It is a level 2 weapon, so most players outgrow it within hours. Oddly, the pommel carries the emblem of the Cat School rather than the Viper. Its partner is the Viper Silver Sword.
Hearts of Stone later added a much stronger version, the Viper Venomous Steel Sword, along with the matching armor: Viper Armor, gauntlets, trousers and boots.
How to obtain
Crafted by any blacksmith once you have the diagram. It requires character level 2.
