The Path of Warriors

Gunnar doubts a foreigner can complete the warriors' trail up Yngvar's Fang on An Skellig. Geralt has to climb to the peak and swim through a flooded cave.

Overview

The Path of Warriors is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set on the Trail to Yngvar’s Fang on An Skellig, in the Skellige Isles. It becomes available after The Tower Outta Nowheres. Start it by talking to the women in the center of Urialla Harbor, or to Gunnar at the start of the trail.

The challenge

Gunnar does not think much of a foreigner’s chances. The trail has two parts: climb to the summit and take the token there, then go through a cave and bring back what lies at its end.

The mountain

The climb is guarded by harpies and sirens. At a gap too wide to jump, slide down to the path below and climb back up through the ruins. A missed jump usually drops you back to the last section. The structure after the slide holds part of the Bear School gear scavenger hunt. At the top, take the token from the totem pole. A Quen place of power is there too.

The cave

The other path down is a long slide to the cave. Inside is a long underwater swim, where a Killer Whale potion helps. Between the two tunnels there is dry land with two gargoyles, but no token. The second token lies about three quarters of the way through the second tunnel. Bandits wait outside the far exit, so swim back if you want to avoid them.

Gunnar is impressed when Geralt returns with both tokens.
