Overview
Enchanting: Quality Has Its Price is a secondary quest in Hearts of Stone. It follows Enchanting: Start-up Costs and unlocks enchanting with the runewright at Upper Mill.
Jade
The runewright needs jade for his craft. Take the pickaxe from the barn nearby and head far east, north of Novigrad. Three spots are marked, but only one holds enough jade, and it is the only one with enemies: Bloodrot Pit. Fight through the arachnomorphs and mine the jade at the base of the pillar in the first cave. A corpse just inside the entrance starts The Drakenborg Redemption.
Upgrades
Back at Upper Mill, the runewright has set up a workshop and can craft level 1 enchantments, and he also works as an amateur craftsman. Further payments unlock more: 10,000 crowns for level 2 and journeyman crafting, 15,000 crowns for level 3 and master crafting. Each payment also gives XP.
