Aiden
Aiden was a witcher of the School of the Cat and one of the few people Lambert called a friend. He never appears on screen. By the time Geralt hears his name, Aiden is already dead.
In The Witcher 3
In Following the Thread, Geralt runs into Lambert in Novigrad while they are both hunting the same ekimmara. The monster turns out to be a side job. Lambert is really after Jad Karadin, the leader of a band of hired killers who murdered Aiden. The two witchers track the gang down one by one, from Novigrad to Faroe in Skellige, before facing Karadin in his Novigrad manor.
Karadin turns out to be a retired witcher. He claims his band was forced to kill Aiden after Aiden turned on them. The game never settles whether that is the whole truth, and Geralt has to choose between sparing Karadin and helping Lambert finish what he came for.
