The Dogcatcher of Vizima is a monster contract in Act II of The Witcher, found on the notice boards outside the prison and the Hairy Bear Inn in the Temple Quarter. The gravedigger, who hangs around the cemetery gate, wants Vizima’s stray dogs gone and will pay for six pots of dog tallow as proof.
It’s hardly the stuff of legend, and Geralt admits as much in his journal. The good news is that dog lovers don’t have to kill a single mutt: tallow also turns up in containers, on Salamandra thugs and in places like Shani’s house. If you can’t finish in Act II, the contract carries over into Act III.
