Steel Ingot
The steel ingot is the workhorse of Witcher 3 crafting. It goes into steel swords and armor of every kind, and every single type of crossbow bolt needs one.
Where to get it: Random loot, dismantling, most blacksmiths and armorers, or craft it yourself.
Crafting: 1 × iron ingot and 1 × coal, made by any blacksmith or armorer.
Used to craft: Griffin Steel Sword.
Get it by dismantling: Daystar, Deireadh, Feline Armor, Grandmaster Feline Trousers, Griffin Steel Sword, Princess Xenthia’s Sword, Ursine Armor.
