Lindenvale is a village in eastern Velen, set where several muddy roads meet, and one of the busiest little places in the region. Farmland spreads out around the cottages, an armorer’s table and a grindstone give passing witchers a place to sharpen and repair, and a cemetery sits at the edge of the settlement, close enough to worry the locals.

The village is a hub for side content. The ealdorman is behind Witcher Wannabe, where Geralt has to deal with a fraud posing as a monster hunter. Nearby, a trio of ghouls attacks a merchant named Gert Borel and starts the quest Hazardous Goods, and the hamlet of Lurtch a short walk away gives Geralt the quest Fool’s Gold. Lindenvale is a good example of how ordinary Velen’s villages are, and how quickly ordinary turns to trouble.
