Overview
Till Death Do You Part is a Blood and Wine secondary quest in Beauclair. It starts from a notice on the Gran’place board, from Charles Lanzano at the Clever Clogs tavern, or by hearing noises at the Temple Cemetery at night. Lanzano cannot sleep for the racket, and the pay is small.
The noisy crypt
By day, the clues at the cemetery lead nowhere. At night, the noises come from the catacombs. Grave robbers lurk in there too, including members of the gang from The Last Exploits of Selina’s Gang, but they are not the source. The sound comes from the room just left of the entrance. It is empty whenever Geralt looks, so he hides behind a statue and waits.
Two ghosts appear, squabbling like the old married couple they were: Louis de Corentin, a gambler, and Margot de Corentin, a devout follower of Lebioda. Each wants the crypt, and each promises Geralt hidden gwent cards if he moves the other’s urn. One of them is lying.
Siding with Margot
Louis’ urn goes to the private rooms of the Gwent Friendship Society elsewhere in the catacombs, where the Ode to Gwent book also lies. Margot then sends Geralt to the couple’s old home. His medallion hums, and after climbing in he fights an archespore before finding the cards under the roses. They are Barclay Els and Vampire: Bruxa, which can only be obtained once.
Siding with Louis
Margot’s urn goes to her mother’s grave in the southernmost corner of Orlémurs Cemetery. Louis then fails to show up, so Geralt picks up his urn to force him out. Louis admits he has no cards, but offers a sword he once won at gwent from the smith Trentin and never collected. With a little pressure, Trentin hands over the Forged in Fire sword and asks for a rematch at gwent, played for coin only.
Back to Lanzano
Geralt can tell Lanzano the truth for more experience, or claim it was a hard job to double the fee. Telling the truth counts as a Proof of Honor for There Can Be Only One.
