Barclay Els is a strength 6 Agile unit for the Scoia’tael. Agile means you choose whether he goes in Close Combat or Ranged Combat, which helps you dodge weather on one row. So when Biting Frost covers Close Combat or Impenetrable Fog covers Ranged Combat, the other row is still open.
Buy him from the innkeep of the Golden Sturgeon in Novigrad. If you miss him, the Hearts of Stone circus merchant near Carsten sells him too, and in Blood and Wine you can get him in Till Death Do You Part by siding with Margot.
