Glory of the North

Glory of the North is a relic steel sword in The Witcher 3 with a fire theme. It gives a small Igni bonus (3-10%) and a 6% chance to set enemies ablaze, and it has three upgrade slots. At 2.31 it is a fairly light blade.

There is no quest, merchant or fixed chest for it. Glory of the North only appears as random loot, so treat it as a lucky find rather than something you can plan for. When it does drop, check the Igni roll: at the top end it is a nice bonus, at the bottom it barely matters.

The sword makes the most sense for a Geralt who already likes Igni, since the Sign bonus and the burn chance pull in the same direction. If you want more fire, Daystar adds raw fire damage and has a few guaranteed locations in Skellige, while Hope can roll a much bigger Igni bonus if you are lucky. A blacksmith can dismantle Glory of the North into leather scraps, steel ingots and amber, so even a weak roll is worth something.
