Overview
The Witchers’ Forge is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set at Kaer Morhen and in the Iron Mine southwest of the keep. You need the Eye of Nehaleni, which Keira Metz gives Geralt in Wandering in the Dark.
The book
At the base of the tower where Yennefer stays at Kaer Morhen, search around the stairwell for Monstrum, or a Portrayal of Witchers. Volume 2. Reading it starts the quest and points to the Iron Mine.
The mine
In an open cavern inside the mine, an earth elemental attacks. Afterwards, place the tome on a pedestal to open another tunnel. The Superior Wolven gauntlets diagram lies beside the pedestal.
The forge
At the old forge, working the bellows makes a voice in the ashes warn Geralt to leave. Say you want to look around, and a fire elemental rises from the forge. Its flames block melee attacks and burn anyone nearby, so hit it with Aard to put them out and then fight it like an earth elemental.
Finally, use the Eye of Nehaleni at the forge to reveal a hidden room with three chests. The prize is the Mastercrafted Wolven armor.
