Damien de la Tour is the captain of the Ducal Guard of Toussaint during the reign of Anna Henrietta. He is utterly devoted to his post and to the duchess herself, and he seems to have feelings for her that go beyond duty.
When Geralt arrives in Toussaint, Damien treats him as a rival and a problem to be managed. Over the course of Blood and Wine, after they fight side by side, his opinion of the witcher slowly changes into grudging respect. He is present for many of the key moments in the hunt for the Beast of Beauclair.
