The Basilisk Contract is a monster contract in Act IV of The Witcher, posted on the notice board at the Country Inn near Murky Waters. Someone wants basilisk hides – well-preserved ones only – and the buyer turns out to be Julian at the inn, who pays for a set of three.
The basilisks live on the west side of Black Tern Island, near the circle of elements. They don’t always turn up in numbers, so a trip there can be a crowded brawl or an awkwardly quiet stroll. Geralt has a strong hunch Julian will sell the hides on for far more than he pays, but a contract is a contract.
