Vincent Meis

Vincent Meis is the captain of the city guards in Vizima, whom Geralt deals with in Act II in the Temple Quarter. After Prison Break, the jailer Jethro tells Geralt to bring the cockatrice’s head to Vincent for a reward, which happens in The Beast of the Sewers. Vincent also pays for an archespore’s head in Bloodthirsty Vegetation.

Vincent’s name comes up often during the hunt for Salamandra. In The Crown Witness he refuses to talk about a captured gang member, and in Vizima Confidential he is one of Geralt’s first leads. In Suspect: Vincent Meis, Geralt wonders whether the captain works for Azar. Vincent claims he is only keeping an eye on the gang, so Geralt needs more evidence before confronting him. In The Rat, Geralt learns that a man named Coleman is Vincent’s informant.

In Act III, Beauty and the Beast reveals that Vincent is the werewolf loved by a woman named Carmen. When two cures fail, Geralt tries to convince both of them that love might lift the curse.
