The Rose of Remembrance is a main quest in Chapter 1 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. After the interrogation of Ciaran leaves Geralt unsettled by his lost memories, Triss Merigold asks him to find a rose of remembrance, a powerful psychoactive flower that could help restore his memory.
Geralt can search alone or go with Triss, who knows where the roses grow. On his own he can ask the people of Lobinden: Anezka once received such a rose from an admirer, and the elven tracker Cedric knows where they grow but wants something in return for the information. The roses are found among elven ruins near a waterfall. When Triss comes along, bandits looting the ruins’ statues attack the pair, and the ground gives way beneath them, dropping them into an old elven bathhouse.
Once Geralt has the rose, he and Triss have a long, private conversation. Triss wants to leave everything behind and disappear with him. How Geralt responds decides how the quest ends.
