Azar Javed
Azar Javed is one of the main villains Geralt pursues in The Witcher. Geralt first hears the name in Act I, in the Outskirts of Vizima, when he questions the local Salamandra gang leader as part of Witchers’ Secrets.
In Act II, in Vizima’s Temple Quarter, Geralt teams up with a detective in Vizima Confidential to find someone working for Azar and follow the trail to the Salamandra boss. Several people come under suspicion of dealing with him, which leads to the quests Suspect: Kalkstein, Suspect: Ramsmeat, Suspect: Thaler and Suspect: Vincent Meis. In A Gravedigger’s Gratitude, Geralt finds the body of the real Raymond at the cemetery and realizes that Azar killed the detective and took his place.
In Act III, during The Unforgiven, Geralt reaches the gang’s base and faces both the Professor and Azar Javed. The final reckoning comes in Act V, in Sweet Revenge, when Geralt follows the clues to the Old Manor and kills Azar Javed.
